Youth Camp Theme Weeks

Every Friday is Fun Friday- a visit from TumbleBus, special activities to choose from and fun parties

Session One June 25-29 -Friendship/Safety
This is a great week to learn how to make new friends in your group, at the YMCA and in your Community.  Meet special friends in the community who help keep us safe.

Session Two July 2-6 -Holiday Hoopla
Every day is a holiday.  Monday Valentine's day- Wear red or pink, wear a heart.  Tuesday - Chinese New Year, Wednesday no camp legal holiday, Thursday Halloween - Wear your favorite costume, Friday is Red, White and Blue Independence Day Party and BBQ- wear patriot colors.

Session Three July 9-13 -Critters and Creatures
Non stop fun for animal lovers,  Campers will learn about fuzzy and cute, creepy and crawly animals from all over the globe. All week we have activities and crafts all about animals.  On Friday we will have a special visit from Jungle Bob Reptile World

Session Four July 16-20 -Y World of Sports
Tons of fun with traditional and non-traditional games. The focus is on learning concepts and fundamental of a variety of games. Physical activities teaching sharing and teamwork can be a lot of fun!

Session Five July 23-27 -WaterWorks
Campers will have fun with water. They will visit the Atlantis Marine World Aquarium. Enjoy a Water Works Party with water slide, foam machine, water games, fishing and outdoor cookout.

Session Six July 30-Aug 3 -Around the World
All our bags are packed and ready to go!  This week campers will be learning about various cultures and countries from around the world.  We will be learning games, song, dances other children play, and finding new favorites along the way.  Don't worry about bringing our passports; campers will have a chance to make their own along the way. Friday we end our week with an International concert at 1:30pm performed by all our campers. Ciao!

Session Seven Aug 6-10 -Crazy Days of Summer
Each day is a Crazy Day!  Monday is Fun Friday so we are have a Fun Friday and Pizza Pajama Party. Tuesday is crazy hat or hair day, Wacky Wardrobe Wednesday - anything goes. Thursday is backwards day- wear your clothes backwards, play games backward, read story backward.  Friday- stars and strips and polka dots.

Session Eight Aug 13-17 Camera, Lights, Action
Each day will be a special storybook,  TV or Movie character- dress up if you would like. - Monday- Pirates of the Caribbean, Tuesday- Super Heroes, Wednesday-Star Wars,     Thursday- Harry Potter, Friday -The Wizard of OZ- Campers will perform in YMCA Camp Musical “Magical Land of Oz: Performance - Friday, Aug. 17th at 1:00pm

Session Nine August 20-24 -Carnivál
Each day we will have a different carnival.  Monday is Mardi Gras. Tuesday-Carnival of Venice Venetia, Italy, Wednesday- Cinco de Mayo. Thursday- Winter Carnival Quebec Canada, Friday - All the week the children will learn circus acts to perform during our American Carnival at 12:00 am followed by a Family BBQ all are invited.
