Youth Fitness Classes at the Y

The following classes are free for full members. These classes are designed to provide our Y Youth
with the basic instruction and knowledge of health and fitness. Full Members can register for one
FREE 8 week class per session and may register for subsequent classes at a 50% discounted rate.
Please see Member Services if you would like to attend a second class. Program Members may
register and pay for as many classes as they choose.

Fitness All Stars
(Ages 7–10)

Fitness All Stars is an age appropriate introduction to fitness
techniques such as warm-ups and stretches. This fun fitness
class also includes an introduction to basic nutritional concepts,
cardiovascular exercise and games. Activities are done in various
locations such as the gym, fitness center, and track.
Fit Kids I
(Ages 10-12)

Fit Kids I is an extension of Fitness All-Stars and
incorporates both cardiovascular exercise and light
weight training. Basic nutritional concepts will be
introduced to encourage healthy eating habits.
Classes are designed to make fitness a key part of
childrens’ daily lives. 
Speed & Agility Training
(Ages 10-18)

This new program is designed not only to develop an athlete’s
physical potential, but to provide a fitness education that can
empower an athlete for a lifetime. Some of the techniques that
will be worked on are: agility and balance, speed and quickness,
fitness and body toning, power and strength as well as healthy
nutrition. This class is a great start or addition to high school
athletic team sports.

Zumbatonic
(Ages 9–12)

A high energy fitness packed dance class specifically
choreographed with kid-friendly routines. The kids
will love the music choices of hip-hop, pop, reggae,
and more. Your child will gain an increase in self-confidence,
and a boost in the metabolism. Every Zumbatonic class
is like a fitness party!   
Teens in Training
(Ages 13 +)

Teens in Training is an introduction to proper weight
training techniques and conditioning for cardiovascular
exercise. Classes include discussions on the effect of
diet and exercise on daily lives. It is our goal to give
teens the ability and confidence to work out safely in
the Adult Fitness Center.
