Toddler Time

Our Toddler Time Programs have been designed to be age
appropriate and to meet the needs of the children who participate.
These developmental programs will build strength as well as social
and physical confidence through classes that provide adequate structure, but also free time to use their imaginations.

Classes are held in the NEW state-of-the-art 3rd Floor “Jitterbug Gym” and Arts/Crafts Center which feature a fully padded gym area, climbing apparatus, play equipment, and great instructors for your tumbling and craft convenience!

Tumble Bugs
(Ages 3-4 years)

Participants in this class warm up with basic yoga movements and stretching,
followed by an introduction to tumbling, balance beam, and spring board.
Class cools down with Yoga and concludes with an art project. Please
dress your child appropriately.

Artisans & Chefs
(Ages 4-10 years)
1 1/2 hours

Using a selection of prepared and scratch based recipes, children learn to blend,
mix and create a new treat each week. Children can choose to eat their treats at
the Y or to take them home to share. Children will also create a different weekly
art project.
Yoga Bears
(Ages 3-5)
1 1/2 hours

Yoga gives children the ability to control stress, increases their self-esteem
and to have better concentration. It is a powerful technique for children to
begin moving their bodies in ways that help them look and feel good. Students
will learn popular yoga poses such as "Cat”, “Downward Dog”, “Snake” and more.

Enrichment Combo
(Ages 3-7)
1 1/2 hours

New to our Y or just can’t decide? This class will give your child a sampling
of many of our most popular classes. Each week students will be enriched
by a different lesson in one of the following: science, cooking, yoga, gardening,
animals, or art.

Mad Scientists
(Ages 4-7)
1 1/2 hours

This introductory science class may cover a variety of exciting topics
such as the solar system, nature, the five senses, recycling, magnets,
mirrors, weather and more! Children will take part in a basic lesson
followed by a related craft and conclude with time in our Jitterbug Gym.

Little Picassos
(Ages 4-7)
1 1/2 hours

This class is designed to nurture creativity with the use of paints,
colored pencils, chalk and paper. It will dispel the myth that art is a
talent a child does or doesn’t have. We view drawing, the fundamental
skills of all visual arts, as a teachable skill that any child should and
can learn. Each week your child will be introduced to the techniques
of well known artists such as Renoir, Picasso and Monet. Students will
learn a variety of techniques including portraiture, still life, line and
pattern as well as art vocabulary.
Lunch Bunch
4 Years Old
Does your child need to spend a little more time with us?
This 2 1⁄2 hour extended enrichment program for our half day
pre-school morning students is the answer! Students will have
a supervised lunch time followed by a 1 1⁄2 hour Gym & Art,
Enrichment Combo or Mad Scientist’s class in our 3rd floor
“Jitterbug Gym” and art room.
