Teen Programs

The Y is committed to helping teens become productive, self-assured young adults. To that end, we provide them with a safe, fun environment, offering programs and services in an atmosphere that promotes strong character development.

 
Pre-Teen Center
Is your pre-teen looking for some fun at the end of the school week? Check out the Huntington Y's Preteen program. This new recreation program is free of charge and open to youngsters in 5th through 7th.  Enjoy Swimming, Crafts, Dance, Game Room and Sports.  Program will be held in our Health Enhancement Center located at 423 Park Avenue. Teen Center

Our fun and FREE Saturday Night Teen Center is the place to be! Most Saturday nights between October and May, from 8:00pm to 10:00pm both YMCA buildings will be open for teen use only.

Teens can enjoy the use of the pool, the Fitness Center and the gymnasium. To participate, please bring proof of grade (Birth Certificate or Report Card).

A contract signed by teen and parent is required. You will receive a Teen Center ID card, which you must present each time you attend the center.

Come on down and bring a friend for swimming, basketball, a work-out with weights, games or just to hang out in a drug and alcohol free environment.

John Murn and Family sponsors Teen Center so there is no admission charge.

Leaders Club 
A nationally recognized core YMCA teen program provides participants with opportunities for leadership training, personal growth, service to others and social development. Teens meet on a weekly basis, working closely with their peers and adult advisors on skill and character building activities, as well as planning and organizing projects with an emphasis on educational success, community service and goal-setting. Leaders Club helps teens 7th through 12th grade find the leader within.
