Fit Kids 7-12
Fit kids is designed to help youth achieve fitness and health awareness at an early age.  Strength and coordination
not only help youth develop physically but also socially, in a safe friendly encouraging setting
Healthier Tomorrows
Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center and the Patchogue Family YMCA are pleased to offer this family focused pediatric weight management program under the direction of the Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center, a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals including a dietician, social worker and a YMCA fitness specialist, that will help provide children and their families adopt healthy eating habits and active lifestyles.  The indoor sports and group excercise in this program incorporate cardiovascular excercise and strength training.  A physicians approval is required for children to participate
Movement Concepts (3-6)
Kids learn basic types of movements with fun themes and games. Bosy awareness, spatial awareness, levels and force are examples of basic concepts. Skill themes are discovered and utilized. Running, skippig, hopping, jumping, and other types of movement activities are taugh and used in a variety of games and excercises.
Speed & Agility
Designed to dramatically improve the overall athletic abiliy to each participant. Speed is the number one skill necessary for conteding in every sport. Working on this skill at each level is important because speed will ultimately determine the highest level an athlete can compete in.

Yoga ( 5- 12 Years)
This class is a time to align the young and creative minds of our kids with some fun and powerful yoga techniques to focus their mind and build coordination. Basic poses are learned in a very playful environment so kids enjoy the process of learning yoga.  (Bring your own mats).  
Teen Fitness 13-18
Teen Fitness is high energy workout program for middle school and high shool students who have a desire to grow both physically and mentally in their preferred sort or in general wellness.  The focuses for the class will be fitness and nutrition enrichment as well as goal setting. Excercises may include but are not limited to strength training, muscular endurance, cardio, agility, balance and flexibility. 
Youth Tumbling (3-6)
Designed for students to develop strength, agility spacial awareness, body positioning, and control through basic skills.  Each child will be introduced to the basic foundation of tumbling which include rolling, handstand variations, cartwheels and other basic movements, students will participate in groups to foster social emotional and physical skills needed to begin their accent through performance and athletics. Through strength conditioning , and physical conditioning, students will progress to the more difficult skills. Tumbling class improves coordination, muscle development, and flexibility. This class is designed to focus on the floor gymnastics excercise and also to complement our dance programs.
