CERTIFICATION CLASSES
WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR (WSI) TRAINING
All candidates must successfully complete the
following pre-requisites:
• 25 meters of the following strokes:
- Front Crawl
- Back Crawl
- Breast Stroke
- Elementary Back Stroke
- Side Stroke
• 15 meters Butterfly
• Back float 1 minute in the deep end
• Tread water for 1 minute
All participants must be at least 16 years of age
on or before the final scheduled class.
FEE: Membership + $350 (Includes books and Certification Cards)
AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING (15 years and older)
All candidates must successfully complete the
following pre-requisites:
• Swim 500 meters consistently, using the following
strokes for a minimum of 100 meters each: front crawl, breaststroke, elementary
backstroke and side stroke. Participants may then use their choice of stroke(s)
for the remaining 100 meters.
• Tread water for 2 minutes without using hands.
• 25 meter sprint retrieving a 10 pound brick off
the bottom of the pool and returning 25 meters with two hands on the brick,
keeping head above the water.
