YOUTH / TEEN PROGRAMS
The National YMCA swim program is designed to develop each
participant's potential, encourage safety awareness in and around the water and
perfect swim skills.
PARENT / CHild PROGRAMS (30 minutes)
S.K.I.P. (6-36 months)
Introduction to the aquatic environment for parents and their
infants. Children learn basic aquatic safety and have fun playing with toys and
flotation devices. Program provides opportunities for parent-child teams to
socialize with each other.
PIKE WITH PARENT (2 - 3 years)
A parent and child program designed for 3 year olds who have a
fear of the water or separation anxiety and/or 2 year olds who have previously
attended the SKIP program. Instructor recommendation is required for 2 year olds
registering for this program. The class is structured as a Pike class.
