ADULT PROGRAMS
Our classes are “drop in” classes unless otherwise
specified with an asterisk (*). Classes with an asterisk are Lifestyle classes
that require pre-registration and close at maximum enrollment. The YMCA reserves
the right to cancel any classes that do not meet minimum enrollment requirement.
FITNESS PROGRAMS

BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE PILATES
An entry-level Pilates mat exercise and mind-body
program to improve flexibility, balance and posture coordinating upper/lower
body movements focusing on core muscle strength.
POWER PILATES
Advanced Mat Pilates
IM=X PILATES
(Integrated Movements = Exercise) A comprehensive
program, combining floorwork, resistance rings and body bars with a focus on
muscular balance and core muscle
recruitment patterns.
BODY SHAPES
A series of high repetition exercises designed to
concentrate on one muscle group at a time. Participants use weights and
resistant tubing and/or body bars for a total
muscle sculpting and conditioning program. No aerobic component. A good choice
for pre & post-natal moms.
ANYTHING GOES
An ultimate challenge in interval training of
cardio, weight training and core strengthening.
BOOST AND BURN
Multi-activities using varied elements of movement
to “BOOST” metabolism, energy, strength, elevate mood, fight fatigue and “BURN”
fat. A cross-training approach where athletic step, walk, jog, run and athletic
conditioning ignite!
BOOT CAMP
A workout with emphasis on strength, power,
endurance and speed. Interval training with movements that are basic, athletic
and repetitive in nature versus choreographed.
CROSS TRAINING
High intensity interval training focusing on
strength training, cardiovascular exercises and flexibility.
LATIN MOVES
Come and try something that is just sooo hot! You
can call it dance or you can call it
exercise. High energy and lots of fun learning Latin Moves along with other
popular dance styles.
SPINNING
Indoor cycling classes where you can work at your
own pace. Follow one of our instructors on a challenging journey. A vigorous
workout for anyone willing to enjoy the ride! Learn proper form, postural
stability and increase strength.
STEP AND SCULPT
A combination of basic bench step movements for a
high intensity, low impact aerobic workout and strength training techniques
using weights, body bars, and/or bands. Class concludes with abdominals and
stretching.
TOTAL BODY WORKOUT
A great place to start your fitness program, this
multi-level class has an energetic aerobic
component followed by upper and lower body strength training, ending with
abdominals and stretching.
WALKING CLUB
The YMCA of the USA is aware of the national health
crisis in keeping our population fit. Our first program of the Active America
initiative is the Walking Club. Everyone is welcome. We have an instructor so
all you will need are sneakers. Free to all members. (Seasonal)
WINTER WARRIORS OR SEASONAL …10 WEEKS TO YOUR FIRST (OR SECOND)
5K
During the cold winter months, studies have shown
that exercise decreases and calorie intake increases. To fight the cold winter
weight, join us for a training program that culminates into a 5k race.
Training plans will be set up for each individual on a flexible basis. Weekly
morning sessions with some weekend long runs will be part of this program.
Winter Warriors is for anyone who wants to stay in shape or lower their personal
record striving for heir personal best in a 5k race. No running background
needed; runners of every level and age are encouraged to join.
ZUMBA
Fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms of Salsa and Hip-Hop
with easy to follow moves to create a dynamic workout. Enjoy an hour of
caloric-burning, heart-racing, muscle-pumping,
body-energizing and awe-inspiring movements.
ZUMBA EXPRESS (with family)
Anybody can ZUMBA whether you have two left feet or
were born to boogie. If you can move, you can ZUMBA. You’ve got moves you’ve
never used so come join the party and discover them with us all in 45 min.
