Lap swimming should be done in an orderly, continuous, circle swim
fashion. Always stay to your right.

Choose a lane to match your ability – slow, medium, or fast.
|

Slower swimmers should allow faster swimmers to pass – preferably at
wall.

Please do not stand at end of lanes. If you need to rest, move to the
side or sit up on wall.

Follow the lifeguard’s directions!

POOL INFORMATION
CREDIT POLICY
Credits will be issued only for illness documented by a physicians statement,
requiring absence for at least 4 consecutive classes during an 8 week session.
No refunds are given. Because of required instructor to swimmer ratios there
will be no make - ups unless scheduled by the YMCA.
CLASS TRANSFER POLICIES
Member initiated class transfers will not be made after week 3 of the session
without prior approval of the Aquatic Director, or Supervisor. Swimmers who are
new to the Aquatic program may not register after week 3 of the program without
prior approval of the Aquatic Director or Supervisor.
ADULT AQUATIC EXERCISE
CLASSES
Special price discount for multiple Aquatic Exercise Classes. Sign up for 2
Aquatics Exercise Classes get the 3rd Aquatics Exercise Class for free within
the session. All classes must be taken by the same member.
Non-Members may take classes for $12 per class.

Please shower before entering pool.

Please observe the pool schedule. As a courtesy to all members, do not enter
before scheduled time and leave promptly at the end of scheduled swim.

Safety first! No running, skipping, pushing, or horseplay is allowed at any
time.
|

• |
Diving / Jumping is prohibited.
|
|
• |
Masks, snorkels, and fins are permitted with a doctor’s note only. |
|
• |
Appropriate swim attire must be worn. Please no gym shorts, cut-offs, or street
clothes.

• |
Street shoes and/or sneakers are not allowed on the pool deck at any time (for
sanitary reasons). |

• |
Hanging on lane lines or safety rope is not permitted.
|
|
• |
Do not enter pool area with open sores, cuts, and/or ear or nose discharge.

Only U. S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Devices are permitted.
|
|
• |
No inflatables (rafts, floats, swimmies, etc.).
|
|
• |
No disposable diapers. Swim diapers must be worn if child is not completely
toilet trained.

are here for your safety. Please accept their instructions and the policies of
the Aquatics Program.
